Artist Statement

The reason I am an artist is to push my own personal boundaries as both an artist and as a person.
I am led by a “felt sense” and react to stimuli, so my work is not based on communication but on a visual experience. I prefer to focus on the human figure and explore its many modes of expression and characteristics in relation to its current activity. My base is traditional drawing and painting but then manipulated to hype the imagery’s action/reaction to what is occurring which comes from what I have seen or read.
This is my journey, I can work no other way.
